Can a Barber Cut Long Men's Hair in Zürich?

Yes, if the barber has experience with your length and texture, and the appointment allows enough time. Ask about both before you book. You do not need a coiffeur simply because your hair has grown longer.

Which appointment should I book?

At The Good Barbers, the Classic Haircut is the one to ask about if you want to keep your length. It costs CHF 59 and lasts 40 minutes, with a consultation, shampoo and a scissor or clipper cut adapted to your hair.

One Grade cuts to one clipper length. A Fade focuses on short, blended sides and can still leave length on top. If keeping your length is the priority, ask us which appointment fits.

If your hair is long or you want a substantial change, call us or message us on WhatsApp before booking. Ask whether 40 minutes is enough for the result you want.

What should I say before the cut?

Start with what you want to keep. Point to the length you want at the front and sides. Tell your barber whether you wear your hair loose, parted or tied back, and whether you are still growing it.

A reference photo is useful, but explain what you like about it. Is it the length, the shape around the face or the way the hair falls? “Just a trim” can mean different things to different people.

Should I say something during the cut?

Please do. If the shape or length is going in a direction you did not expect, tell us while we are working. We can stop and look at it together. You are not interrupting us.

I would rather hear what is bothering you in the chair than have you leave trying to be polite.

What if I notice something at the end?

Check the cut as you normally wear your hair before you leave. Part it where you usually part it. If you tie it back, see how that feels. Tell us if something looks uneven or feels too heavy.

Often we can adjust the balance, remove weight or tidy an area you are unhappy with. We cannot put length back once it has been cut, which is why speaking up early matters.

Sometimes hair behaves differently after you wash and style it yourself. If that happens, contact the shop and tell us specifically what is not working. A photo can help us see whether an adjustment is possible.
